Headstand Happiness

One was definitely a lonely number all of last week. But now that one of my roommates has returned for good, I’m no longer drinking wine and eating chocolate…… by myself. Still consuming both, but with someone to share with now!

“Happiness [is] only real when shared.”

We caught up for hours and hours sharing every little detail that has happened to us over the past 3 weeks. About her adventurous trip to Costa Rica. And my pretty average life in Vermont. We cooked dinner side by side, and grabbed some drinks downtown after.

And yesterday, after I was spinning around town with quite the agenda and she was back at work, we slowed down for an afternoon spent in the grass.

We yoga’d, read, laughed, snacked, and sunned our faces.  I also got to capture some pretty evening light with my camera. I was so content.

She shared her chips, and I shared how to do a headstand. Happiness.

.

What have you done this week so far to slow down or enjoy someone’s company? Do you agree that happiness is only real when shared with someone else? Or can one find happiness completely on their own?

I loved the pictures on this post. Show me how to do a headstand!

I don’t always do a good job of letting myself slow down or not think,”What’s the next thing I have to do?” so you’ve inspired me to try to just sit and be more this week. I’m often happy when by myself but I agree that there’s nothing like being able to share moments with another person.

I think that happiness is achievable when alone, however its much more enjoyable with company.

Now excuse me while I go do a headstand.

HOLY SMOKES! Your headstand is incredible! I have NO idea how to do one! I get dizzy when I bend over to pick things up so I do not know how I would do!

I am glad you have good company! :)

haha thanks! I could never do one and then a friend of mine told me to pull my elbows in closer to the midline of my body, and ever since I’ve been able to do one!

I think someone can find happiness on their own, but I prefer the company of others most of the time. It’s much better to say, “remember when we…” instead of just remembering it yourself.

Glad you roomie’s back!

Gah, that dog is TOO cute. And so sweet that they share :P I love the photos! I feel like I’m laying in the grass, too :]

I never really realize how much I enjoy the company of others until I am with them, enjoying their company. Well, certain individuals, anyways, haha. Yes, I’m content on my own…but I think it’s sort of a different kind of happiness, I guess…am I making any sense? Probably not :P
